Reception 2019/20 Admissions

We understand how important it is to prepare for your child starting in reception and in order to help with this process, we have five open days for parents looking to start their child in September 2019. All the information is shown in the leaflet below. If you would like to attend one of the open days, you must book in advance which can be done by contacting the school office. You can find the contact details here

Bewick Bridge's Early Years team use an online learning journal called Tapestry which helps school and home to record, track and celebrate children's progress in early years education.

Nurseries, pre-schools and reception classes are fun-packed and busy. From messy play and first steps to learning phonics and new games, there's so much for children to do, learn and take in.

Tapestry enhances this special time, helping teachers and practitioners to capture children's experiences as well as monitor development and learning. This unique journal is shared online with parents, who are able to see special moments and view their child's progress.

Text, images and videos can be easily uploaded via PC, tablet or our mobile app - anywhere there's an online connection. Every entry helps to create a complete story of a child's time at nursery, pre-school or school.

When a pupil joins Dipper class we invite parents to join the Tapestry family.

In addition we aim provide you with useful information on our website page.  If there is anything you would like us to add that you think other families might find useful do please speak with Ms Kirkland.

At our phonics evening the early years team shared a range of
information with parents and carers.  We thought it would be   helpful to share this on the website.
